What will you do:
In this role you will:
- Validate that production deployments behave as intended and meet quality standards
- Ensure reliable execution of nightly integration, regression, and load tests
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for new API integrations
- Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to support frequent and successful production deployments
- Act as a quality champion for Data Streams, including:
- Automated monitoring of operational metrics
- Detection of pipeline errors and failures
- Proactive identification of system deficiencies
- Automated monitoring of operational metrics
- Review and improve testing mechanisms for IoT integrations (e.g., Tridium, BACnet)
- Identify bottlenecks in existing test strategies and recommend improvements
- Research and adopt industry best practices for testing data-streaming technologies
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, Electrical, controls Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer
- Strong experience in:
- Test planning for cloud-native applications
- Designing test cases including functional, edge, and negative scenarios
- Test planning for cloud-native applications
- Solid understanding of different testing levels:
- Unit testing
- System testing
- Integration testing
- Load / performance testing
- Security testing
- Unit testing
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Python, Cypress
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to:
- Clearly articulate issues
- Raise quality risks proactively
- Clearly articulate issues
Nice-to-Have Skills
- End-to-end testing of IoT integrations, including messaging protocols like MQTT
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, including:
- Deployment strategies (e.g., canary deployments)
- CI/CD pipelines
- GitLab workflows and gitlab-ci.yml files
- Deployment strategies (e.g., canary deployments)
- Understanding of microservices-based architectures
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS)
