The Tax Adjustment Analyst is responsible for sales tax determination on equipment, service, local buy-sell, and parts sales and purchases. Participate on a team that is responsible for accurate sales tax billing for the Trane Technologies North America region. Successful candidate is preferred to have had previous experience with US sales and use tax and be able to make decisions regarding tax exemptions and ensure that taxes are invoiced correctly. The decisions and transactions performed in this position directly impact Trane Technologies financial exposure, cash flow, and sales tax audit liability. Interact directly with the sales organization, internal departments, and outside customers. This position will be part of the Corporate Tax organization. Individual will be expected to be a change agent, a self-starter, driven for results and able to work effectively with Customer Account Analysts and business unit leadership.
This position will report directly to the US Indirect Tax Business Advising Manager.

Where is the work:
Virtual:
This is a Remote position.
What you will do:
• Validate and process exemption certificates
• Work with internal and external customers to both educate and resolve tax related issues that arise with sales transactions
• Resolve tax disputes and process credits where appropriate.
• Various projects as assigned, including some routine tasks and special projects
• Support audit function by providing requested exemption certificates to support exempt sales.
What you will bring:
• Minimum HS diploma or GED, preferably BS/BA in business administration, accounting or finance.
• Prior experience with sales tax/exemption certificates processes is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, with the ability to function independently as well as in a team environment
• Must be detail-conscious, responsible, and dependable
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 53,350-71,750
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
