Team Leader-Electrical Main Line
Job Summary
The Electrical Assembly Team Leader is responsible for training, directing, and leading their team to complete the Electrical build of all water and air-cooled products. This is to be completed while adhering to Trane Standards and upholding our customers' Quality and Delivery expectations.
Responsibilities:

Actively leads their team in a way that supports and sustains employee engagement and coordinates/supports employee development

Responsible for the safety of their associates and actively drives safety improvement independently and though coordinated audits/activities

Working with supervision and other leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and production schedule are met.

Monitors and drives daily production and execution by monitoring Takt Time Attainment

Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.

Use 9 Step problem-solving tools to drive stable operation of the work area

Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to Production Supervisor.

Responsible for coordinating and communicating run order, communicating material needs, and updating all production information systems.

Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.

Observe, maintain, coordinate, and complete standard work.

Support and model the MDI process by updating production metrics, facilitating Daily team meetings, and encouraging/Driving JDI tasks.

Identify and support continuous improvement efforts.

Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.

Participate as an active member of the production assembly team and assemble products.

Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System.

Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.

Coordinates/supports the onboarding of new associates assigned to their area. Actively coordinates their training.

Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

Requirements:
-
High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two (2) years of related experience in manufacturing is required or One (1) year of experience working in the Electrical Department

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus

Read 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions, design, and materials needed for performing duties.

Able to use basic cutting and hand tools to complete assembly tasks.

Assist with other departments as needed or as directed by the Supervisor.
