Technical Manager - Engineering Design

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Years of Experience:
- 10+ Years
Functional Expertise and Leadership:
- Firsthand experience in product design and development while working on NPD, VAVE, Productivity and QnR projects.
- Firsthand experience working on product design utilizing software's such as Creo, Inventor, Autocad with working knowledge in Sheetmetal design, tubing design, assembly instructions, preparing and release of manufacturing drawings.
- Firsthand experience working on PLM processes utilizing software such as Windchill or Team center.
- Practical experience on HVAC domain preferably in the design and development of Air Handling Units or Rooftop packaged products.
- Practical expertise in innovative fields like pro-programming, AI-driven generative design, additive manufacturing design, augmented reality collaboration, IOT-driven design, and automation.
- Lead and take complete project ownership, coordination and collaboration with different project stakeholders and cross functional teams or managers. Performs Design reviews and consistently deliver high-quality Design deliverables.
- A thorough awareness of all the tools and technologies utilized in engineering design, as well as the ability to use or incorporate innovative technology into existing work.
- Able to work autonomously on multiple projects while coaching or mentoring other PGETs, GETs, Designers, Engineers, and Interns on products and processes.
- The capacity to create project schedules, recognize risks and develop plans for mitigating them, implement best practices, and manage challenging issues.
- Someone who is enthusiastic about keeping up with technological advancements, learning about and experimenting with modern technologies in the context of engineering design, and contributing to the creation and execution of future road map initiatives.
- Make a significant contribution to the fields of automation, sustainability, soft productivity, innovation, and prototype development / proof of concept.
- Motivate and lead a group of engineers in the design and development of products. Assist and advise them in the management of quality, cost, timeliness, milestones, engineering procedures, goal setting, performance reviews, and developmental plans.
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency, abilities to successfully convey and explain difficult concepts.
- Proven leadership abilities, a professional and upbeat demeanor, diligence and attention to detail, ability to work alone and as a team, assertiveness, adaptability, creativity, and a desire to go above and beyond when needed.
