Trane Technologies is currently seeking a Universal Test Data Analyst, who will provide support to all CHVAC Plants, Quality Teams, and Digital Organization projects. By analyzing various databases, order details, and both internal and external quality data, this position aids in enhancing customer quality and minimizing defects in manufacturing processes while driving entitlements for option licensing and connected mechanical service agreements.  Passion for data, understanding how people comprehend information, and commitment to customer focus are key to finding success on this team. In addition, you will work with cross-functional partners to share knowledge, drive analytics standards and best practices, and achieve operational targets or service standards that tie back to strategy or vision for Trane Commercial.

Where is the work:

This is a virtual position.

What you will do:

  • Ownership of the Universal Test Tableau Project for test data, including cycle times and failure paretos.
  • Ownership of monthly financial standard work using multiple databases and working with the North American Asset team.
  • Responsible for driving the roadmap to improve and simplify Universal Test data architecture.
  • Leader of Tableau and Dataiku requirements for the Universal Test Team, including partnership with IT and Database/Network Architects.
  • Add data analytics standards to new product introductions.
  • Manage Technical Management Plans via SharePoint, work lists, Dataiku workflows, and Tableau dashboards.
  • Utilize Power Automate to support SharePoint/Dataiku workflows and manage SharePoint content.
  • Create or drive solutions to support internal and external Quality requirements using test data.
  • Manage statistical process controls and database performance over yields, test cycle time, and network performance.
  • Develop new data analytics strategies and architecture for the next generation Universal Test operating system.
  • Provide training on Dataiku, SharePoint, Power Automate, Tableau, database connections, and problem-solving using data analytics.
  • Develop long term (5-year +) roadmap for data analytics utilizing multiple data sources to support productivity and quality goals.
  • Develop short-term (1–2-year) operations strategy for machine learning and AI strategy.
  • Perform tactical work on a team through specifying new processes and standards based on organization strategy.
  • Ownership of customer test data reports for units that have completed tests.
  • Participate in Dataiku, Tableau, and Analytics community.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science (or related technical discipline). Master’s Degree in Analytics is preferred.
  • Proficient with Dataiku and Tableau. Knowledgeable in programming languages used to interact and manage data in relational databases.
  • Knowledgeable in various quality system methodologies; Lean, 5 Why's, pareto analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, etc. is a must.
  • Proven ability to present data effectively; guiding teams to identify and solve root causes with a focus on quality and productivity.
  • Proficient in using statistical programming languages to manipulate data and extract insights from large datasets.
  • Experience in developing and applying advanced Machine Learning algorithms and statistical methods, such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, and decision trees, is a plus.
  • Proficient in visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders in an easily understandable format.
  • Strategic Leadership – Creating and driving productivity and quality strategies that are easy to understand and self-serve.
  • Product & Technology Expertise – Deep knowledge of data analytic models and methods.
  • Innovation & Agility – Adapting quickly to business objectives and quality initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partnering across departments & regions.
  • Data Driven Decision Making – Using data effectively to support strategic and operational decisions, using metrics for continuous improvement.
  • External Partnerships – Building strong relationships with plant, quality, and overseas test teams.

Compensation: 

Base Salary: $90,000 - $116,500
