SUMMARY
Responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, maximizing account penetration, and customer retention with owners, developers, architects, consulting engineer and contractor accounts. Supports the Trane/Mitsubishi Ductless Portfolio (both M&P and City Multi/VRF) while maintaining our internal business process aligned with the organization’s long-term & short-term sales strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
- Responsible for the Trane/Mitsubishi Ductless Portfolio (both M&P and City Multi/VRF) sales and growth within a defined area.
- Utilizes Account Manager process to identify, research and develop specific action plan on new and existing customers to build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
- Supports district office performance by coaching and providing training to internal associates and customers on the Trane/Mitsubishi Ductless product sales, application, and support.
- Responsible for keeping abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements related to our Trane/Mitsubishi Ductless Portfolio.
- Identifies product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with product management to prioritize and illuminate gaps.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
- Works with district leadership team to develop, implement and measure the Trane/Mitsubishi Ductless Portfolio growth plan.
- Responsible for maintaining district Ductless Pipeline Tool current with all business development, jobs-in-design, and open opportunities.
- Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s HVAC system design and installation requirements relative to our Trane/Mitsubishi Ductless Portfolio.
- Performs Job Captain duties on all Trane/Mitsubishi projects (both M&P and City Multi/VRF). Responsible for project selection, take-off, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services.
- Responsible for the preparation and review of the proposal.
- Determines proposal price and selling strategy.
- Reviews and compares contract terms and conditions with Trane contract standards.
- Presents the proposal and negotiates price, terms, and conditions with customer.
- Follow up with buying influences on all open opportunities.
- Prepares transition documents and communicates project readiness for assignment to operations team.
- Resolves major deviations from scope with team after Project Scope Validation.
- Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities. Assembles, coordinates and interacts with sales team as needed for customer penetration and project acquisition.
- Coordinates with consulting engineers in writing project specifications.
- Coordinates with Estimators in the interpretation of specifications and preparation of proposals.
- Responds to customer needs by identifying systems, products, generating quotes and closing orders.
- Authorizes replacement, credit, or refund as necessary to facilitate the refund/exchange process including negotiation of back charges and customer disputes.
- Assists customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, and system application alternative, BAS, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
What you will bring:
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
- 2+ years experience of solution sales experience.
- We prioritize practical experience and relevant skills. Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply.
- Communication and ability to build relationships, entrepreneurial drive, ability to “close”, organization skills, time management skills.
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. within 1 Year Required
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 / annually + sales commission plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
