Account Manager
Job Summary:
Identifies, researches and contacts prospective customers to build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
Delivers high quality customer service by assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products and services.
Negotiates prices and delivery times within established limits of authority to close the sales process.
Responsibilities:
This role plays a vital role in developing profitable business with new and existing customers by supporting the direct sales process, aiming at meeting and / or exceeding sales targets.
Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships with established clients.
Works with the Sales Manager to establish short-term sales plans.
Supports the Product Manager to monitor, evaluate and maintain internal business process aligned with organization’s long-term & short-term sales strategy.
Qualifications:
Typically operates within a predefined geographic area, product range or list of customer accounts.
Requires detailed product knowledge and thorough knowledge of client's business. Typically requires two to four years of experience.
Manages a group of customers to achieve designated sales target levels.
Key Competencies:
Interacts frequently with internal sales representatives to migrate information when clients have additional service needs.
Interacts frequently with customers to educate them on product’s benefits and special uses.
