We are looking for a talented Senior Product Engineer to facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current and next line of exciting products. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be working closely with the Design and Cross Functional Teams to create industry-relevant products that meet company specifications.

Job Summary: This position will provide design and parts support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers working on those projects.
  • Strong focus on sheet metal part design, Plastics part design. Prepare layouts and concept designs, sketches and detailed drawings as required.
  • Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and project partners.
  • Provides design support for current production parts and products.
  • Create and develop DFMEA and DVPN&R.
  • Feasibility study on VAVE projects.
  • Commit to deliver 100% QDC.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering and Parts Management.

Key Competencies:

  • Hands on experience in Creo & Wind-chill
  • Hands on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects.
  • Strong knowledge on parts classification/management, sheet metal and plastic part design and manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge and application of Tolerance stack up and analysis.
  • Knowledge on experience in DFMEA and DVPN&R is preferred.
  • Good knowledge on Bill of Materials.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.
  • Good Oral and Written communication skills.
  • Must be able to adjust changing demands, priorities and objectives.
  • Good attention to detail and problem solving capabilities of manufacturing and field issues.
  • Project management skills.
