Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Job Summary：
- Provides support to Manufacturing Engineering team in development, improvement, maintenance, and elimination of nonconformance in quality and manufacturing engineering processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supports manufacturing processes for department(s).
- Work alongside engineers for design, material, and technical support.
- Utilize the Lean philosophy to make improvements or troubleshoot production processes.
- Will develop, organize, and update manufacturing work areas, material flow, process documentation, and system setups for new products and features.
- Look for opportunity to eliminate nonconformance or frequent production errors.
- Perform tests in support of new manufacturing processes.
- Work with operators on improvement ideas for production process and tool creation required for safety, takt, and/or ergonomic attainment.
- Modify and maintain any existing equipment or tools created, using 5S standards.
- Create, update, and sustain kanban supermarket systems.
- Support RIE/Kaizen events with ideas and tangible OPEX application.
- Provide periodic training and feedback for proper assembly or lean tools for various production departments.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, inspections on building equipment, and testing area components.
Key Competencies:
- Manufacturing engineering knowledge.
- Knowledge of manufacturing machinery within the plants and any complimentary certifications.
- Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools.
- Ability or want to learn to make fixtures and jigs to further enable assembly.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and problem solve.
- Willing to train by working alongside production team members.
· Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude
· Actively practices and promotes safety.
- 2 yr technical degree or current pursuit of technical degree.
- 3D software and programming knowledge, a plus.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to train others.
- Basic knowledge of various Microsoft Office applications.
- A very high desire to learn and make an impact.
