What you will do:

 

Leadership and Team Management:

  •  Proven leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of testers.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

 

Oversee and provide guidance on:

 

  •  Progress and Status Reporting
  • Monitor and report the progress of testing activities to stakeholders.
  •  Provide clear and concise status reports, highlighting any issues or roadblocks.
  • Comprehensive test plans and strategies that align with project requirements and timelines.
  •  Scope, objectives, and criteria for testing.
  •  Detailed test cases and scenarios based on system requirements and specifications.
  • The execution of test cases and scenarios, ensuring adherence to the test plan and documented procedures.

 

   Defect and Issue Management:

  • Identify, log, track, and resolve defects and performance issues.
  • Ensure that all defects are documented and communicated to relevant teams for resolution.

 

   Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that testing activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Deliver documentation and records of testing activities for audit and compliance purposes.

 

 Risk Management and Continuous Improvement:

o   Identify potential risks and issues related to control systems testing.

o   Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

o   Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies.

o   Implement best practices and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in control systems testing.

 

   Stakeholder Communication and Team Development:

o   Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients.

o   Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, issues, and outcomes.

o   Provide training and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

o   Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

 

 

What you will bring:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; master’s degree in engineering is preferred.

 

·       Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering test or analysis role, with at least 5 years of people leadership experience demonstrating team growth.

 

·       Control Systems Knowledge:

o   In-depth understanding of control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and HMI.

o   Familiarity with control system architectures and communication protocols.

·       Data Analysis:

o   Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and identify defects.

o   Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.

 

·       Project Management:

o   Ability to develop and manage test plans, schedules, and resources.

o   Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.

·       Risk Management:

o   Proficiency in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.

o   Experience with risk assessment and management techniques.

 

·       Communication:

o   Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

o   Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients.

·       Problem-Solving:

o   Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

o   Ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.

Compensation:   $140,000-$160,000

 

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
