The Facility Systems Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the building operations and controls for the R&D Lab. This role includes maintaining the physical infrastructure of the test lab and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly with respect to building and test lab operations. This role will review our current building and test control systems to both optimize existing layouts and provide future system planning.

This role will focus on the R&D Lab area of Thermo King. Building System evaluations focus on areas of Refrigeration/HVAC Systems, Controls, Electrical and Mechanical. This role will require the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams spread across multiple areas of the R&D Lab. This role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Where is the work:

 This position has been designated as On-Site

What you will do:

  • Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
  • Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments.
  • Communicate with external contractors and vendors.
  • Keep building and R&D facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol.
  • Run routine maintenance inspections.
  • Monitor interior and exterior areas of building for cleanliness and general conservation.
  • Prepare, oversee, and implement project budgets and timeframes.
  • Support maintenance and installment work as needed.
  • Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance programs.
  • Maintain and update facility system prints to current configurations.
  • Update and Implement Capital Planning

 

What you will bring:

·       This role requires an B.S. degree with 10 or more years of applicable facility systems experience

·       5+ years of Project management experience is a plus.

·       Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

Key Competencies:

  • Advanced mechanical and plumbing knowledge
  • Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Knowledge of and exposure to engineering prints and symbols
  • Knowledge of Refrigeration Systems, boilers, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, and fans

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $ 100,000-$160,000

 

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
